Our Team

Elise Baturone

Neural Network, and Website

I am Elise BATURONE. I am the one who created the neural network for digit recognition. We had worked on neural networks in C# programming class once but a lot of the work had been done for us. This felt like a completely different task and the complication of the new language made it that much more exciting. I cannot say it was not extremely challenging to do something so unknown in a brand new language, but it most certainly was very rewarding when it finally worked. After the neural network was finished I had some time to code a primitive website with basic explanations, presentation of the team, and download links. I used a Hugo themes to get a better design faster. I also worked on the graphical interface with Lorine and made a rudimentary design with glade before giving the reins to Lorine who made it better. This project has been a lot of work and stress but successful in the end. I am glad to have worked with an entirely different group than last year as it was one more challenge to work with new people. The workload was quite large but we distributed it very evenly and kept updating each other as well as trying to help out each other.

Lorine Truong Thanh Dang

Solver, Image processing, and Graphical Interface

My name is Lorine TRUONG THANH DANG, I am studying in the second year. I am expecting a lot from this project and from this new co-working experience. I have always been interested in discovering many parts of computer science. For my part, I am happy to be able to learn a bit more about imagery and image uses. During the last project I was happy to work in group and learn about new things. I am hoping to use the OCR project as a step up in my understanding of the C language, and so far it has been with joy that I was able to code and see to my extend what C could offer.

Grid Detection

I am Anita SELVARANGAME, studying in second year at EPITA as the rest of the group. I really liked working on the S2 project last year even though it had its ups and downs. I hope I will like this project just as much and that we will manage to do it well. I am working on the grid detection part because I wanted to do something totally new since neural network and filtering has already come up in practical class in C#. I am also eager to learn from my partners I think we will make a very good group.

Grid Detection

Student in the second year at EPITA, I am LÉA KIM, the project leader of the group. From this last project before leaving Paris, in order to continue my S4 semester in another country, I hope I will learn more about the C language. As the S2 project helped me a lot to understand how C# was working, I hope that after this project I will like to code in C language. What is more, it is our second group project. Thus, I hope this group project with other members will be another good experience to have for my next projects. Personally, managing my time to work on the S2 Project was not easy. This, time, I hope I will be more efficient,split my work on a better way so that the project will not be too much stressing in terms of managing my time.
